No. The Pool sits above ground on a firm, level surface and arrives fully assembled. That is the main reason people choose it over an in-ground pool — no excavation, no concrete, and no months of disruption.
The Pool needs a 15-amp outdoor supply and room for the nearby external plinth, which houses the pump, controller, Wi-Fi and heat pump. Talk to Stoked early about your site requirements.
Almost certainly. Pools holding 400mm or more of water are covered by the Building Code. Your lockable safety cover can satisfy the requirement in limited circumstances; confirm your site requirements with your local council.
Down to 5°C. The reverse-cycle heat pump actively chills the water and holds your selected temperature year-round.
Capacity depends on the model. The 2.5m Pool seats up to 10 people, while the larger Pool models accommodate up to 14 people and include an activity zone.
If you use chlorine, keep it at or below 5 parts per million and maintain the recommended pH, alkalinity and water-hardness levels. Excess chlorine can discolour stainless steel and void the structural warranty.
Stainless steel is non-porous, and Stoked recommends the chlorine- and bromine-free AQUASPA system. Keep filters clean and follow your water-testing routine for the treatment system you choose.
Running costs vary by climate, set temperature and use. The insulated cover is included and keeping it on between swims is the most effective way to reduce heating and chilling costs.
Stainless steel is non-porous and easy to care for. Keep filters clean, test the water regularly and follow the recommended routine for your chosen treatment system.
Stoked provides a 50-year warranty for the stainless-steel inner barrel and structure, subject to the normal installation, use and maintenance recommendations. Other components carry their applicable manufacturer warranties.
Stoked can ship your Pool to the nearest depot, or you can collect it from Wānaka. Handmade Pools typically take four to six weeks to build; discuss site access before committing to an order.
